(International Catholic Movement
for Intellectual and Cultural Affairs)
has a Church mission to fulfill : the evangelisation of cultures and the inculturation of the Gospel.
To achieve this mission, we have International and National Structures.The General Secretary is based in Geneva, Switzerland. Regional Secretariats have been installed along the years.
The International Council is the decision-taking body between two successive Plenary Assemblies. The last one met was the International Council of Lima, Peru, July 2002. Opening the page, you will consult the latest decisions.
On 19th May 2001, at the end of a workshop held in Nairobi, some ICMICA-Africa members and ICMICA-International Council decided to set up a Regional Secretariat. Resolutions proposed the appointment of Egide Rwamatwara as secretary and Fr. Etienne Triaille as Chaplain with a one-year mandate.
